Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementation, service, and profitable retention of existing clients, while enhancing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and vendors. Works with internal and external staff as a liaison to producers, consultants, and clients to ensure proper program administration and ensure all service needs are met.

• Partners with clients and producers/consultants on executing benefit strategies, financial analysis, plan renewals, benchmarking and overall service delivery. Ensures client expectations are met.
• Builds trusted relationships with clients and producers/consultants by providing market leading intelligence, strategic solutions and recommendations.

• Responsible for the retention and expansion of existing business. Holds direct accountability for profit and loss performance.

• Analyzes client financial, utilization data, and industry trends/benchmarks to determine success of client's current and future benefit strategy.

• Maintains a solid understanding of DDNC value proposition, benefit and service offerings.

• Promotes Delta Dental brand in the community by participation in community affairs - specifically community projects chosen by clients in their book of business and understands opportunities to partner with clients within the community. Maintains a positive corporate image within the community.

• Conducts employee presentations, health fairs, and other activities to support client enrollment and renewal.

• Works cohesively with sales executives on RFP opportunities.

• Proactively develops and maintains effective business relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers on all assigned accounts. This includes individual calls, benefit conferences, conventions, entertainment, and special events.

Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or marketing, or related field and three years' experience in sales and/or services of group accounts. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

Position requires strong written, oral and presentation skills with internal and external contacts; the ability to analyze and resolve problems; and use independent judgment; requires a state health insurance license or must obtain one within three months of employment.

Position also requires the use of a well-maintained vehicle while acting as a representative of Delta Dental of North Carolina externally.
