Description
Experienced Class A drivers in Eastern Iowa: here is a regional intermodal seat with consistent lanes, less city traffic, and two days at home every week. The numbers first.
Pay Breakdown
- Mileage Rate: $0.62 per mile
- Load Pay: $20 on every load
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,400 to $1,500
- Paid Weekly: Direct deposit every week
Schedule
- Out 5, Home 2: Every week, not every other week
- Main Lane: Iowa to Illinois and back, with some runs into Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan
- Shifts: Day and night runs available
The Freight
- Intermodal Containers: Hauled on chassis between rail yards and customers
- Drop and Hook: Most of your time is spent driving, not waiting at docks
- Consistent Lanes: You learn the routes fast and run them repeatedly
- Less City Driving: Mostly Midwest highways instead of downtown traffic

Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
- 6 months OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years depending on when CDL was obtained
- Must pass DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
- Must live within 75 miles of Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Dubuque or Cedar Falls, IA
