The Senior Director, Solutions Consulting (Automotive) is responsible for leading and scaling PTC Japan’s pre-sales organization focused on Automotive industry. This role drives strategic customer engagements and revenue growth, leveraging deep expertise in software development lifecycle processes, regulatory compliance, and digital engineering transformations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Japan Automotive Solutions Consulting strategy aligned with global priorities
• Partner with Sales leadership to drive pipeline growth, deal strategy, and win rates
• Engage C-level stakeholders to articulate Intelligent Product Lifecycle (IPL) value in complex enterprise environments
• Lead and mentor a high-performing Solutions Consulting team
• Oversee discovery, solution design, demos, and value articulation specific to IPL
• Drive high-quality RFI/RFP responses for opportunities
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap based on customer needs
• Coordinate global technical resources for complex deals
• Act as a thought leader in intelligent product lifecycle management and digital transformation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 12–15+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting / Pre-Sales
• Strong experience in system development in automotive industry.
• Proven leadership managing senior technical teams
• Experience supporting enterprise software sales cycles
• Fluent Japanese and business-level English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PTC Codebeamer or equivalent ALM platforms
• Experience with PTC Windchill or equivalent PLM platforms
• Knowledge of regulated industries (automotive, medical devices, etc.)
• Experience in global organizations
• Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar methodologies
