Metallurgical Engineer
We are looking for a Metallurgical Engineer to join our Portland, OR team!
As our Metallurgical Engineer you will provide analytical support and perform high-quality metallurgical testing to meet customer expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Location: Portland, OR
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Your Challenge
- Demonstrated ability to work with metallurgical tools, equipment and instrumentation, including optical microscopes.
- Conduct a broad range of metallurgical tests, including but not limited to microhardness testing, microstructural examination, grain size evaluation and other tests as directed and trained.
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment as required including calibrations, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs of equipment as needed.
- Serve as a resident expert and a technical resource for others.
- Demonstrated proficiency in and knowledge of diverse range of specifications and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skill; ability to read and understand scientific documentation (we adhere to ASTM standards)
- Coordinate the input of other departments and write reports in an accurate and timely manner.
What You Bring
- Bachelors in materials science engineering, or Metallurgy
- 1-2 years’ experience
