Description
Position Summary:
The Pool Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional, attentive service to Club members and guests while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, professional, and attentive to detail, with a genuine desire to create an outstanding member experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests warmly and provide courteous, personalized service.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the pool area at all times.
- Assist members with pool chairs, umbrellas, towels, and other amenities.
- Keep the pool deck, seating areas, tables, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and presentable.
- Monitor and replenish towels, water, and other pool supplies throughout the day.
- Clear used glasses, dishes, and other items promptly.
- Assist with food and beverage service when applicable, including taking and delivering member orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized towel station and service areas.
- Anticipate members’ needs and provide proactive, attentive service.
- Monitor the pool area and promptly report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or unusual activity to management.
- Follow all Club safety, sanitation, and guest-service standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage, Aquatics, Housekeeping, and other Club departments.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the pool area.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow Club uniform and grooming standards.
- Protect member privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Desired Attributes:
- Previous experience in a country club, resort, hotel, pool, or upscale hospitality environment preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent customer-service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to member needs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in the South Florida climate.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with maintaining the pool area.
- Ability to work independently while being an effective member of the team.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on Club operations.
