We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world.  Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

Job's Mission

As Supply Planning Lead for Components, you will play a critical role in ensuring material availability across ASM's global supply network, enabling the technologies that power the next generation of semiconductor innovation. You will transform demand signals into robust supply and capacity plans, driving alignment across suppliers and internal stakeholders while balancing service, inventory, and operational risk. Working at the intersection of planning, sourcing, and operations, you will help build a resilient and scalable supply chain that supports ASM's continued growth.

What you will be working on

Lead Component Supply Planning

  • Own end-to-end supply planning for component categories across the value chain.
  • Translate demand forecasts into executable supply and capacity plans that support business priorities.
  • Govern MRP processes and planning parameters to ensure demand is accurately converted into material requirements.
  • Continuously improve planning effectiveness, execution reliability, and supply responsiveness.

Drive Supplier Capacity and Supply Readiness

  • Develop and manage supplier scheduling agreements, forecast commitments, and capacity planning frameworks.
  • Monitor supplier capacity against evolving short-, mid-, and long-term demand requirements.
  • Lead capacity allocation and prioritization decisions during constrained supply situations.
  • Drive level-loading strategies that improve supplier stability and long-term performance.

Align Demand and Supply

  • Develop time-phased supply plans that ensure material availability while supporting operational objectives.
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning to align forecasts with supply capabilities.
  • Translate demand shifts, product ramps, and lifecycle transitions into proactive supply actions.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes through effective supply planning and scenario management.

Strengthen Inventory and Risk Management

  • Collaborate with Inventory Planning to optimize stock policies, inventory health, and working capital.
  • Monitor shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence risks, driving actions to improve outcomes.
  • Assess supply chain risks including demand variability, supply disruptions, and lead-time volatility.
  • Develop mitigation strategies that support supply continuity and business resilience.

Enable Strategic Supply Decisions

  • Lead risk-buy and buffering decisions in partnership with Sourcing and Change Management stakeholders.
  • Evaluate supply scenarios and recommend actions that balance availability, risk, and inventory exposure.
  • Track and improve key supply chain performance metrics, including material availability and supplier delivery performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using planning systems, analytics, and best practices.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply planning, material planning, supply chain management, or operations within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in MRP, supply planning, inventory management, and supplier capacity planning.
  • Proven experience translating demand forecasts into actionable supply strategies.
  • Experience managing supply constraints and working closely with external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across planning, sourcing, operations, and manufacturing teams.
  • Experience working with ERP and advanced supply planning systems.

What sets you apart

  • Experience within the semiconductor, electronics, or other high-tech manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor supply chains, long lead-time components, and capacity-driven planning environments.
  • Experience with Kinaxis or similar advanced planning platforms.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, engineering change management, and lifecycle transitions.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification.
  • Track record of driving planning excellence, process improvements, or supply chain transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience operating in global and matrixed organizations.

Apply today to be part of what’s next.
