Lead, Business Continuity Manager (APAC Location)

Position Summary
The Lead, Business Continuity Management (APAC Location) is responsible for the development, implementation, governance, testing, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity Management (BCM).
This role serves as the primary APAC focal point for technology continuity planning while partnering with global technology teams, infrastructure organizations, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, business units, and regional regulators. The incumbent will ensure that critical technology services can withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptive events while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regional regulatory requirements.
The role requires balancing regional execution with global alignment, ensuring APAC-specific risks, regulatory obligations, and operational requirements are effectively incorporated into the enterprise resilience framework.
Key Responsibilities
Business Continuity Strategy & Governance
Lead the APAC Technology Business Continuity Program.
Develop and maintain regional technology continuity and resilience strategies aligned with global frameworks.
Ensure regional BCM practices are aligned with enterprise risk management standards and global technology policies.
Establish governance forums, metrics, reporting, and executive dashboards for continuity and resilience programs.
Support annual reviews of continuity policies, standards, procedures, and recovery strategies.
Continuity Planning & Preparedness
Develop, maintain, and govern Technology Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
Ensure recovery plans exist for critical platforms, infrastructure services, applications, and technology processes.
Coordinate Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments across APAC technology functions.
Assess dependencies involving third-party vendors, cloud service providers, and critical technology partners.
Maintain inventories of critical services, applications, recovery strategies, and recovery objectives.
Disaster Recovery & Resilience Testing
Coordinate disaster recovery testing programs across APAC technology teams.
Manage tabletop exercises, simulation exercises, crisis management drills, and failover testing activities.
Validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
Track remediation of gaps identified through testing and post-incident reviews.
Produce executive summaries and lessons-learned reports following exercises.
Operational Resilience
Support identification and mapping of Important Business Services (IBS) and technology dependencies.
Assess resilience vulnerabilities across people, process, technology, facilities, and third-party ecosystems.
Assist in establishing impact tolerances and resilience performance measures.
Support enterprise operational resilience initiatives and regional regulatory requirements.
Crisis Management & Incident Response
Support technology crisis management and major incident response activities.
Participate in regional command centers during significant incidents.
Coordinate communications, issue escalation, decision tracking, and recovery governance during disruptions.
Facilitate post-incident reviews and corrective action plans.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary APAC liaison between global BCM teams and regional technology leadership.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Master's degree preferred.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
MBCI (Member, Business Continuity Institute)
ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
PMP
ITIL
Experience
8-12 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Technology Risk, or Technology Operations.
Minimum 3-5 years managing continuity programs within a technology organization.
Experience supporting large-scale global technology environments.
Experience managing regulatory, audit, and risk management engagements.
Financial services experience preferred but not mandatory.

Participation in executive crisis management and major incident governance.
