The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in executing the store’s strategy to achieve sales and service performance goals. This role leads by example, coaching and developing store associates to build a high-performing team that delivers best-in-class customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager serves as a role model for exceptional service and plays a key role in driving business results within the store.
What you will do...
- Support the Store Manager in executing the store’s strategic vision to achieve sales, KPI and profitability goals.
- Lead by example to deliver a best-in-class customer experience through exceptional service, product knowledge and brand storytelling.
- Coach, train and develop store associates to build a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team.
- Partner with the Store Manager to drive key metrics including conversion, AOV, UPT and overall sales performance.
- Actively sell on the floor, genuine relationship building while cultivating client loyalty and brand awareness.
- Consistent execution of visual merchandising, product presentation and brand standards
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, training and performance management of store associates
- Provide in the moment coaching and feedback to reinforce service standards and selling behaviors.
- Support of inventory management including receiving, replenishment, transfers, pullbacks, markdowns, OCF and stockroom efficiencies.
- Maintain operational excellence by adhering to all company policies, procedures and loss-prevention standards.
- Serve as Manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence, confidently leading the team while fostering an inclusive, positive work environment that reflects The Beaufort Bonnet Company’s values and core competencies.

Who we would like to meet...
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business and/or Merchandising preferred.
- Generally, 4+ years retail experience with a minimum of two years retail store supervisory/management experience.
- Solid computer skills-proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Basic retail math skills.
- Experience with POS systems, a plus.
- Exposure to merchandising and retail visual concepts.
