Summary
South Phoenix Oil & Gas Company is searching for a reliable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Technician to support daily warehouse operations, including inventory handling, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping. This role plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials to support both production and customer orders. The ideal candidate has hands-on warehouse experience, is comfortable working in an ERP system, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Shipping Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and kit mechanical and electrical components using work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Receiving incoming materials and accurately enter transactions into the ERP/MRP system
- Locate, identify, and track inventory using part numbers, storage locations, and system data
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to support efficient material flow and accessibility
- Prepare and stage materials for production and outbound shipments
- Assist with packaging and processing domestic shipments
- Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices to ensure proper stock rotation
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in alignment with warehouse standards
- Prioritize tasks based on production and shipping needs in a fast-paced environment
Required Skills:
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, or similar systems)
- Forklift experience preferred; ability to obtain certification required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Preferred Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data entry
