Purpose of this Role 

The Corporate Relations Manager plays a key role in advancing United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s corporate engagement and revenue growth strategy by managing and expanding a portfolio of workplace and corporate partnerships. Working under the strategic leadership of the Director of Corporate Partnerships, this role leads the planning, execution, and stewardship of workplace giving campaigns while identifying opportunities to deepen engagement, increase revenue, and cultivate new business relationships. 

This position combines strong relationship management with a growth-oriented business development mindset, helping drive both partner retention and expansion. By serving as the primary lead for campaign operations, partner coordination, and donor engagement across corporate accounts, the Corporate Relations Manager contributes directly to revenue growth, long-term partnership development, and organizational impact. The role also creates capacity for senior leadership to focus on enterprise-level partnerships, sponsorship strategy, and broader market growth opportunities. 

Key Accountabilities 

Corporate Account Management & Workplace Campaign Leadership (40%)  

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a defined portfolio of corporate partners  
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the majority of Workplace Giving Campaigns, under the guidance of the Director of Corporate Partnerships  
  • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to elevate key accounts and identify growth opportunities  
  • Develop campaign plans, timelines, and engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals  
  • Identify opportunities to deepen engagement beyond the campaign period, including leadership giving, sponsorships, corporate grants and volunteer involvement  
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee campaign coordinators and corporate partners throughout the year  
  • Ensure campaigns are executed smoothly, professionally, and on schedule  
  • Deliver engaging workplace and leadership presentations that inspire participation and generosity  

New Business Development (25%)  

  • Support the Director of Corporate Partnerships in identifying and cultivating prospective corporate partners  
  • ​​​​​​​Solicit and coordinate introductory meetings, outreach, and follow-up with prospective companies  
  • Leverage existing United Way relationships and referrals to identify new workplace giving and corporate engagement opportunities  
  • Confidently ask for support and motivate participation across diverse audiences  
  • Represent United Way at corporate and community networking events  
  • Assist with transitioning new corporate philanthropy partners into active workplace campaigns, volunteerism, or other engagement opportunities with United Way  

Corporate Account Stewardship (20%)  

  • Ensure appropriate acknowledgment, reporting, and stewardship communications  
  • ​​​​​​​Use storytelling, data, and equity-centered messaging to communicate United Way’s mission and community impact  
  • Lead year-round stewardship efforts for corporate and workplace donors, including thank-a-thons, recognition activities, and follow-up communications  
  • Coordinate stewardship-related logistics including speakers, materials, and special events  
  • Ensure a consistent, positive donor experience across all assigned workplace campaigns  

  Data Management & Administration (15%)  

  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM, including contact information, giving history, campaign results, areas of alignment and prospective opportunities

Supervises: 

  • No direct reports 

Education, Skills, Experience, and Training  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience  
  • ​​​​​​​1–3 years of experience in account management, sales, customer success, or a related relationship-focused role  
  • Experience managing a portfolio of accounts or partners preferred  
  • Public speaking or presentation experience required  

Technical Knowledge 

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is essential.  
  • ​​​​​​​Experience working with a business CRM or similar database system required 

Physical Requirements 

  • Currently working a hybrid work schedule  
  • ​​​​​​​Work is primarily performed indoors, within an open office setting with a moderate noise level and occasional exposure to scents.  
  • Frequently required to sit/stand at computer in a stationery position.  
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as copy machine, printer, phone, and fax machine.  
  • Frequently required to move about inside the office for meetings, access to information, office equipment, etc.
