About This Job
We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications in a fast-paced production environment. This role combines application support, production operations, release management, troubleshooting, and technical incident response.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting .NET applications in production, performing root cause analysis, managing incidents, and collaborating with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure application stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 application support for mission-critical business applications.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within established SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions to reduce recurring incidents.
- Monitor application health and system performance using monitoring and observability tools.
- Support release deployments, change requests, and production implementations.
- Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues.
- Analyze logs, application events, database activity, and system alerts to identify issues.
- Develop automation and shared solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and post-incident reviews.
- Support high-severity production incidents and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
- 3+ years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, XML, and REST APIs/Web Services.
- 3+ years of experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar DevOps platforms.
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and release support.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or other monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, IIS, and enterprise web applications.
- Knowledge of F5 Load Balancers, networking concepts, and infrastructure support.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
- Experience with Oracle Databases, SSIS, and enterprise integrations.
- Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience supporting high-availability and business-critical systems.
