Quality Assurance Coordinator for Day Services

Salary: $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 annually

STAR, Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable and organized Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee quality and compliance efforts throughout our Residential Services programs. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring processes that help ensure our group homes and apartments remain in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

About the Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is an important resource for Residential Services and serves as a liaison between STAR, Inc. and regulatory agencies. This position helps maintain a strong culture of compliance and quality by preparing for regulatory reviews, maintaining policies and procedures, following up on safety-related matters, submitting required documentation, and monitoring compliance with established standards.

Working in partnership with the Residential Director and group home managers, the QA Coordinator will help ensure that STAR's residential programs and properties meet the requirements of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and other applicable regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, familiarity with DDS regulations and requirements, and prior supervisory experience in a residential or comparable human services setting. This position plays a significant role in promoting consistency and accountability across Residential Services while supporting direct-care staff in their work with the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous supervisory experience in a residential or related human services setting
• Familiarity with Connecticut Department of Developmental Services requirements preferred
• Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
• Compassionate approach and commitment to recognizing the abilities and potential of each individual
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Positive and solutions-oriented approach
