Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity or conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and escalation needs to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
