Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator - Garden City

We are seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, repair, and compliance of our electric utility cooperative's fleet assets. This position plays a key role in ensuring our vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable, and ready to serve our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and major repairs with outside vendors across multiple service locations.
• Maintain fleet maintenance and repair records in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Conduct fleet inspections and identify repair needs, safety concerns, and DOT inspection requirements.
• Analyze repair and maintenance costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage parts and supply inventory in collaboration with district and purchasing personnel.
• Assist with vehicle specifications, fleet purchases, and annual equipment budgeting.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training and experience in general mechanics, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems required.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the Cooperative's service territory.
