We are seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, repair, and compliance of our electric utility cooperative's fleet assets. This position plays a key role in ensuring our vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable, and ready to serve our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and major repairs with outside vendors across multiple service locations.
- Maintain fleet maintenance and repair records in compliance with DOT requirements.
- Conduct fleet inspections and identify repair needs, safety concerns, and DOT inspection requirements.
- Analyze repair and maintenance costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage parts and supply inventory in collaboration with district and purchasing personnel.
- Assist with vehicle specifications, fleet purchases, and annual equipment budgeting.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training and experience in general mechanics, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems required.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the Cooperative's service territory.
