Job Description:
In this role, you will assist in preparing tax returns and supporting documentation, working closely under the guidance of more experienced team members to build your knowledge and confidence. You will support the team by gathering and reviewing financial data required for tax reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all information used.
A key part of your responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate tax records and keeping documentation organised and up to date, helping to ensure compliance and efficiency across the team. You will also assist with basic tax calculations and reconciliations, developing your technical skills through practical, hands-on experience.
What we are looking for:
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good organisational and time management skills
Basic understanding of accounting principles (training will be provided)
Comfortable working with Excel and learning new systems
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
A proactive attitude and curiosity about tax and financial regulations
Desirable skills/experience:
Previous experience in a tax operations, settlements or regulatory reporting function
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
A degree (or working towards one) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
