About the Role 

This position plays an important role in ensuring continuity of service standards and outcomes during a period of sustained policy and process renewal and will provide pivotal support to the delivery of key international recruitment focused projects and events including University Open Days, International Roadshows, agent familiarization trips stakeholder visits and campus tours.

Requiring strong collaborative stakeholder skills, a service orientation and a high level of initiative and professionalism to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, the position provides pivotal support to the delivery of key projects with a strong emphasis on project management, timelines, action tracking, risk management and reporting.

This part time opportunity allows you to structure your working hours to suit your work/life balance needs from the outset, however, will be based at our Bedford Park campus. Occasional work from home may be negotiated after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period

About You 

Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will be the keys to your success in this role, and with a proven events or project management background, working with a variety of stakeholders and culturally diverse backgrounds comes naturally to you.

You have the expertise to apply a variety of strategies to analyse operational matters including gathering, reviewing and prioritising requirements to support change within a Higher Education environment and are familiar with international students and education agents.

Each case will be assessed on its individual merits and relevance to the inherent requirements of the role. 

How to Apply and Information 

  • You are required to submit Suitability Statement of no more than 2 pages, addressing the below 6 Key Position Capabilities of the position description:

    • A relevant degree in Business, Project or Event Management, or other related discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.

    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook) with competency in data management and shared file management. 

    • Well-developed oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to provide advice, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. 

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and meet conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Demonstrated cultural awareness and an ability to form close working relationships with people from culturally diverse backgrounds. 

    • Familiarity with the Australian Higher Education environment, particularly relating to international students and education agents.
