The Job:

As a Sr. Cost Analyst, you’ll be part of our Global Operations Controllership team working as an on-site employee. The Asia Costing team is responsible for product costing related activities and projects for the Asia region. The Asia Senior Cost Analyst reports to the Asia Cost Manager. This position’s key customers include the Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance functions.  You’ll get to: 

• Responsible for Annual Cost Roll and Quarterly Cost Update processes for the Asia region
• Perform purchase price variance (PPV) analysis for centralized locations
• Lead centralization of standard costing for all distribution centers and manufacturing sites within the Asia region
• Prepare and report out on information related to the annual cost roll and other costing initiatives
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Master Data Team, Commercial and Finance functions to identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including automation opportunities
• Support SAP implementation projects as required
• Develop and maintain costing policy documentation and trainings.
• Perform standard costing activities for new products
• Perform other assignments as requested

The Person:

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in cost accounting, auditing, general accounting, controllership and/or other financial roles
• Multi-plant and multi-country manufacturing cost accounting experience preferred
• SAP Costing (FICO) experience preferred
• Experience in U.S. multi-national public company; working knowledge of US GAAP
• Previous experience with process improvement projects
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several tasks concurrently
• Strong PC skills in a wide variety of applications, especially MS Excel
• Ability to identify and coordinate the automation of manual processes
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail orientation and strong analytical and decision-making skills
