About the Opportunity

The individual will act as an agent for growth of the Systematic Investment business (primarily focussing on Systematic Fixed Income), remain focused on efficiency and profitability and ensure excellence of client service. As a key member of a growing team, the successful candidate will be able to influence how the Systematic proposition evolves to meet client needs. Accordingly, having an entrepreneurial approach which is open to changing how we do things to better support our clients is key to success in this role.
- The individual will join Systematic Investment Group, supporting client-facing and product activity for Fidelity’s global distribution business. The individual will work closely with the Systematic Investment Group Investment Directors and Investment Specialists liaise with the Portfolio Managers and the global sales force.
- Responsibilities include the production of a wide range of written material to support client engagement. This includes pitch books and product presentations, reporting materials, marketing and training collateral, editorial content and thought leadership, RFP/RFI submissions, competitor analysis and responses to client queries.
- Collaboration with Investment Directors to design, create and enhance collateral to articulate Fidelity’s capabilities - both on existing investment strategies as well as evolving disciplines.
The individual’s specific responsibilities will include:
- Production of presentation materials, including pitch books and client updates and working with teams globally for onboarding new clients and mandates.
- Working with Fidelity’s internal distribution teams to support their knowledge and promotion of Fidelity Systematic Investment portfolios and broader investment capabilities.
- RFP/RFI support, articulating Fidelity Systematic Investment Group’s investment process and disciplines (both broadly and for specific portfolios.)
- Query resolution, specifically ensuring that ad hoc fund and strategy queries from clients/sales force are answered quickly and accurately, to be done in concert with global team.
- Working with the India-based Investment Fund Analysts to support regular standard fund reporting requirements.
- As required, cover regular reporting, working with others in the team to analyse performance, attribution and positioning data and articulate investment messages to clients and distribution teams.
- Liaising with colleagues globally to share information and best practice and to help provide information to clients in a range of formats, including written material, internal briefing or training, and participating in client calls or meetings as appropriate.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- A client and service focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with experience of working in a large team, and engagement with stakeholders.
- Graduate or higher qualification with significant experience finance industry experience in Systematic fixed income. Some Systematic Equity/Quant experience would be an added advantage.
- Experience in investment writing and content production (in a variety of formats.)
- Broad knowledge of wholesale and institutional client types.
- Excellent capability with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with financial data - using Thomson Reuters Datastream, Bloomberg, Eikon and or other third party systems.
- Strong data and analytical skills.
Desired experience and qualifications
The core skillsets required for this role are strong commendation skills, an entrepreneurial approach and going the extra mile for clients. However, the following experience and qualifications are also desirable:
- Post graduate qualification in finance or related field.
- Experience range between 5 to 10 years
- Context, understanding of the systematic and quantitative analysis and investment process and its drivers, coupled with a knack and knowledge of various quantitative investment models.
- Knowledge of key institutional client types and their requirements (e.g. insurance, banking and pensions.)
- A grounding in portfolio theory and investment concepts.
While not a pre-requisite for the role, any additional technical expertise which could assist in the automation of regular tasks is a plus. This could include:
- Basic knowledge of VBA, Python or other programming language.
