The Associate will provide strategic, analytical and content development support to the Head of Banking and the Banking COO team. The role partners closely with senior management to evaluate business performance, advance strategic priorities and communicate the division's strategy internally and externally. The Associate will take a lead role in driving research efforts, developing strategic narratives, managing key workstreams and delivering high-quality materials and analyses for senior leadership
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of content, strategic narratives and presentations for town halls, senior leadership meetings, client events, external speaking engagements and other special events
- Lead research, analysis and project-management efforts supporting strategic growth initiatives, including coverage and client strategy, market and competitive landscape assessments, business planning and new-product and sector initiatives
- Monitor relevant market, industry, competitor and regulatory developments and assess their implications for the Banking division, clients and strategic priorities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management
- Oversee the development and synthesis of business performance analyses, partnering with analysts on underlying financial modeling while translating findings into strategic insights and executive-level presentations that support senior management decision-making
- Coordinate and help lead semiannual business reviews for banking groups, including development of presentation materials, tracking of strategic initiatives and follow-up on action plans
- Conduct complex strategic, financial and operational analyses in response to senior management priorities and emerging business needs, distilling conclusions into clear recommendations
- Translate complex financial, market and industry information into compelling, concise and executive-ready materials for senior leaders and broader internal and external audiences
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and serve as a key point of coordination across the division to ensure timely delivery of high-priority initiatives
- Support ad-hoc requests including, but not limited, to advancing the division’s campus recruiting strategy, marketing and positioning materials supporting the growth of the Banking Division, expanding global connectivity and identifying opportunities to automate and enhance routine analyses/management information in collaboration with reporting and IT partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another business-related discipline
- 2-4 years of experience in investor relations, corporate strategy, management consulting or a related strategic/business analysis role at a leading firm
- Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations, strategic analyses and senior management materials
- Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling and visually effective presentations
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable insights
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Dealogic, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Salesforce, FactSet and Power BI
- Familiarity with Claude, AI prompting techniques and review guardrails to optimize efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Working knowledge of investment and corporate banking or the ability to quickly develop industry expertise
- Sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and ownership of deliverables
- Collaborative team player with strong relationship-management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends when necessary
The expected base salary for this role will be in the range of $125k-$150k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
