Position Summary
The Program Management Director leads the enterprise Program Management function for Digital, ensuring complex technology-enabled programs are aligned to business strategy, governed effectively, and delivering measurable business value. This role provides strategic leadership across program standards, governance, prioritization, risk and dependency management, resource alignment, and value realization. The director partners with business, technology, portfolio, and executive leaders to drive clarity, accountability, and decision-making across high-impact initiatives, while building and developing a high-performing team capable of advancing enterprise transformation, adoption, and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own and advance the enterprise Program Management function, including standards, governance, maturity, and continuous improvement.
Drive alignment between enterprise strategy, portfolio priorities, and program investments to focus resources on highest-value outcomes.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing recommendations, trade-off analysis, and decision support for complex initiatives.
Establish and oversee governance frameworks, decision rights, performance measures, and risk/dependency escalation across programs.
Provide financial stewardship for program investment planning, budget performance, resource allocation, and value realization.
Lead and develop a high-performing organization through talent strategy, workforce planning, succession management, coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that drives employee engagement, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Build cross-functional partnerships with business, technology, and portfolio leaders to influence priorities and accelerate execution.
Ensure complex programs deliver enterprise outcomes, sustainable adoption, operational improvement, and measurable business value.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Organizational Leadership, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Required: One or more recognized certifications in program management, portfolio management, project management, Agile delivery, governance, risk management, or business transformation. Examples include PgMP, PMP, PfMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SPC, SAFe LPM, ITIL, CSP, or similar credentials. Certification alone does not substitute for direct experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with executive governance, financial oversight, risk/dependency management, and measurable business outcomes.
Twelve (12) or more years of diversified IT experience required.
Five (5) or more years directly managing professional staff required.
Experience leading enterprise Program Management, Portfolio Management, or PMO functions across multiple business units and strategic priorities preferred.
Experience establishing and governing enterprise portfolio management frameworks, investment prioritization processes, and strategic planning alignment preferred.
Experience presenting recommendations, risk analyses, funding requests, and investment tradeoff decisions to executive leadership teams, governance boards, and steering committees preferred.
Expectation of approximately 25% travel.
