Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Commercial Analyst

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Commercial Analyst located in Blackburn OR Kendal, England.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager EMEA and being part of the EMEA Commercial Team, the Commercial Analyst is responsible for driving and supporting contract formation from pre-award through to agreement and contract execution.

 

What a typical day looks like:

• Review, mark up, negotiate, and finalize customer contracts, purchase orders, master supply agreements, and statements of work.

• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Sales, Project Management, and other stakeholders to optimize contract structures and ensure successful contract execution.

• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, liabilities, and unfavorable terms and conditions while balancing commercial objectives.

• Review pricing analyses, scopes of work, billing procedures, and milestone payment schedules to ensure contractual compliance and commercial viability.

• Support contract administration activities, including managing surety bonds, bank guarantees, contract databases, and ERP system updates.

• Advise project teams on contractual obligations, variation claims, site instructions, and contract compliance throughout project delivery.

• Draft and issue contractual notices, support dispute resolution activities, and contribute to commercial negotiations and settlements.

• Drive contract standardization initiatives, develop KPI-based contract assessment tools, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

 

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Commercial Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Previous experience in contract management, commercial management, legal support, procurement, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles, contractual risk management, and commercial terms and conditions.

• Experience reviewing and interpreting complex commercial agreements and customer contracts.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Experience working with ERP systems, contract management systems, or similar business tools is advantageous.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
