Title: Senior Director FP&A APAC Region
Location: Shanghai
Manager: Vitto Marin, VP FP&A Brands and Commercial
As the Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will serve as a critical partner to the senior Commercial leadership team for the APAC region. You will collaborate with financial and commercial partners across the Region/Brands to lead responsible financial management of the business, owning the planning, tracking and analysis of key metrics consolidated by region to drive quarterly forecasting and the analysis and reporting of quarterly operating results. You will lead a team of finance professionals who are responsible for regional expense management for the brands and provide analytical insights and decision support to cross-functional teams to improve the company’s operating performance and financial returns. You will lead change management through process, systems, and reporting improvements to provide more transparency and visibility into current and future financial results.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting
- Oversee financial reporting, including expense management, of the APAC region in partnership with key stakeholders including the Brand Finance leaders and Commercial leadership teams to drive optimal business results
- Drive the planning, tracking, analysis and delivery of regional platform expenses
- Support the preparation of long-range plan financials, annual budget, and Quarterly Financial Reviews with VF’s ELT
- Ensure all financial information is in a systematic format that all business units can understand and query to ensure comprehensiveness and internal consistency, and submitted as required by the VF Enterprise
- Ensure regional financials are consistently communicated and understood as required across the Brand, Platform and Enterprise
- Lead and direct the creation of relevant performance metrics, scorecards, and processes that represent performance across business units
- Drive and adopt consistent global processes within the region as aligned with the other regional finance leaders and the enterprise.
Strategic Planning, Prioritization, and Communication
- As a key member of the senior Commercial leadership team develop, communicate, execute, and drive the Company's Long-Range Plan (LRP) and yearly goals and objectives, maintaining relevant industry insight, building executable plans, and conducting business with a high degree of business acumen
- Collaborate with leaders across functions in developing commercial plans that align financial targets with business priorities and drive enterprise value.
- Identify and monitor key business drivers and performance metrics across channels, providing insights that inform strategic priorities and enable achievement of regional financial plans.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide data-driven insights to support regional decision-making and business performance.
- Consistently support and ensure a reliable and user‐friendly system of information sharing across teams that enables each employee to understand the brand’s LRP, goals and objectives, and to have the necessary information to drive the business plans
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of financial professionals to deliver strong performance results measured by both the Enterprise Finance and Emerging Brands’ annual goals (V2MOM)
- Recruit, mentor, manage and develop talent aligned to VF’s vision, values, and leadership competencies to grow and retain a high performing team with strong engagement measured by monthly office insight (MOI) scores
- Actively participate in VF learning and early career program initiatives to build talent for future succession planning needs as part of the VF Academy learning platform
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Ten to twelve years of progressive experience with five years of managerial experience
- Working knowledge of domestic and international business in Outdoor Industry preferred
- Proficient with software including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Quality focus in areas of process improvement, metrics, and scorecard expertise required
- Experience with influencing and initiating cultural change, facilitating, and enhancing performance within a cross-functional environment
- Advanced strategic planning and execution skills
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of time
