Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Visibility in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe retail operations for unusual activity, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
