Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Administrator in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting a collaborative team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry requirements, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access discrepancies in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access-control areas, building entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
