  • Strengthen individual strategies by connecting people and thinking across teams, capabilities, geographies and lines of business.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s category, competitive context, unique business dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Guide insight development using first-party data, primary and secondary research, cultural intelligence and behavioral signals.
  • Lead executive presentations, workshops and ideation sessions that create alignment, momentum and clear decisions.

Growth, Profitability & Reputation

  • Identify, shape and steward growth opportunities through proactive recommendations, incremental program proposals and cross-selling of relevant agency capabilities.
  • Lead the strategic workstream for new-business pitches, partnering across disciplines to create differentiated, persuasive and winning solutions.
  • Translate client challenges into well-scoped strategic engagements, defining the approach, deliverables, timing, effort and required talent.
  • Balance strategic ambition with practical delivery, helping teams prioritize the work that creates the greatest client and business impact.
  • Strengthen the reputation of Razorfish Strategy through elevated work, thought leadership, senior client counsel and visible contributions to the broader discipline.

  • Provide clear, timely feedback, define areas of opportunity and help team members build actionable development plans.
  • Actively identify and recruit top strategy talent, contributing to workforce planning, staffing and succession across the discipline.
  • Champion an environment where diverse perspectives improve the thinking, the creative product and the outcomes.
  • Identify and drive adoption of process, practice, tools and ways of working that improve quality, collaboration, efficiency and results.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience developing brand, communications or marketing strategies, including significant leadership experience within a creative or traditional advertising agency.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategy for complex, mid-to-large clients or portfolios and influencing executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, audience and cultural insight, positioning, communications planning, campaign strategy and creative briefing.
