Job Description:
The Junior FP&A Analyst will support the Financial Planning & Analysis function across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational analytics. This role provides visibility into the company’s financial performance, helping management make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn how finance connects with operations, supply chain, and accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
Reports To: Sr. Manager, FP&A / Finance Lead
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models.
- Consolidate inputs from business units (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, operations) and ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support analysis of revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
2. Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial and operational performance reports (P&L, margin bridge, cost trends, etc.).
- Conduct variance analysis vs. plan, forecast, and prior period; identify key drivers.
- Track KPI performance and provide data insights to support management discussions.
3. Business Partnering & Operational Support
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and accounting to validate cost assumptions (DM, DL, MOH).
- Support product and project-level profitability analysis.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and cost control.
4. Data & System Management
- Extract, reconcile, and analyze data from ERP systems (Syteline, NetSuite, or similar).
- Assist with financial model automation and dashboard creation (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau).
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to accruals and reclasses.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting (internship or full-time).
- Experience in manufacturing, hardware, or operations environment is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
- ERP experience (Syteline, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about end-to-end business operations.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.
