Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including:
- Arterial Duplex Studies
- Venous Duplex Studies
- Carotid Doppler Ultrasounds
- Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) Testing
- Upper and Lower Extremity Vascular Studies
- Aortic and Peripheral Vascular Examinations
- Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain image quality standards.
- Obtain and document accurate patient histories and clinical information.
- Review images for technical quality and completeness before submission to interpreting physicians.
- Assist physicians with vascular procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
- Provide compassionate, professional care to patients throughout the examination process.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational issues.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential preferred.
- ARDMS, ARRT, or equivalent certification required.
- 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Experience performing arterial and venous Doppler studies independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
