CAD Design Engineer (Transport/Mobility), Mekkah

Context

We are looking for a CAD Designer in a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project who will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing the detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and visual aids required to design and build BRT infrastructure. 

Missions/Main Duties

Key Job Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design: Creating technical drawings for BRT transit guideways, stations, terminals, pavement markings, and signing.
• Modeling & Visualization: Utilizing Civil 3D to create 3D models of site plans, corridors, and utility infrastructure to visualize all components in three dimensions, reducing on-site clashes.
• Plan Production: Producing detailed, multi-scale drawings (as-built, layout, and shop drawings) for construction teams.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Working closely with interdisciplinary teams (civil, traffic, utility, and structural engineers) to incorporate design changes and ensure, for instance, compliance with local standards.
• Quantity Surveying: Utilizing CAD data to contribute to, for example, the estimation of materials (BOQ) and construction costs.

Profile/Skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of transportation infrastructure design, specifically BRT transit, road design, or utility infrastructure.
