Tournant Chef | Central Queensland

We’re looking for a highly versatile, hands-on Head Chef to step into a Tournant (relief) role supporting venues across Central Queensland.

This is not your typical Head Chef role - this position is suited to someone who thrives on variety, can walk into any kitchen and take control, build teams up, stabilise kitchens, and support venues when they need it most.

The Role:

As a Tournant Head Chef, you will move between venues across Rockhampton, Mackay, Bundaberg and Clermont, supporting kitchens with:

• Covering Head Chef leave

• Supporting struggling kitchens

• Opening or reopening venues

• Training and developing junior teams

• Implementing systems and standards

• Menu and food cost support

• Bringing structure, leadership and stability to kitchens

What we need from you:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef

• Highly organised and able to walk into new kitchens and lead immediately

• Strong knowledge of food cost, labour and kitchen systems

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Must have a car and be willing to travel

• Must be flexible and able to work across different venues and teams
