The role …
The Quality Assurance Engineer drives quality improvement initiatives and supports business processes that optimize product quality, reliability, and production efficiency. This position partners with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve quality concerns, and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll do ...
- Lead quality assurance activities for assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify, investigate, and implement improvements to products and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute quality programs and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, industry codes, and regulatory standards
- Support customer, supplier, and regulatory audits, including audit preparation, execution, and follow-up activities
- Manage corrective actions and nonconformance reports through timely resolution
- Provide technical quality guidance to inspectors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel
- Conduct supplier audits and vendor surveillance activities as a lead auditor
- Review vendor documentation and quality records to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Create and review quality documentation, including final document packages, commercial-grade dedication packages, and customer submittals
- Perform receiving and in-process inspections as needed
What we’re looking for …
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and industry standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead Auditor qualification in accordance with NQA-1.
- Knowledge of ASME BPVC, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1
- Skilled in team-oriented problem solving (RCA/CA/PA tools with the ability to teach and coach).
- Experience supporting nuclear, defense, industrial, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, machining, cutting, electrical assembly, HVAC systems, testing, and supplier oversight.

- Our Quality Assurance Engineer position may require access to information subject to US government contractual restrictions, including Unclassified Nuclear Information (UCNI) or other controlled information. Eligibility to access such information is limited to individuals who meet applicable US legal requirements, which may include US citizenship. Candidates must be able to satisfy these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Ability to work on-site at our Batavia, Ohio facility.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% annually.
