Description
Position : Structural Engineer
Industry : Oil & Gas
Employment Type : Contract (1 year)
Location : Kuala Lumpur
Job Scope(s):
- Establish and verify soft mooring parameters to ensure safe and effective offshore operations.
- Review and verify gangway operating procedures in accordance with project requirements and applicable safety standards.
- Perform structural design analyses and engineering assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare job cards, work packs, and supporting technical documentation for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) activities.
- Participate in field activities during HUC execution, providing engineering support and resolving structural-related issues.
- Review structural drawings and structural cutting plans to support offshore construction and installation activities.
- Perform engineering calculations and verifications, including lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure work is executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
Requirement(s):
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant engineering qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar role or capacity.
- Relevant engineering and commissioning experience in oil and gas projects
- Familiarity with structural drawings, structural cutting plans, and offshore construction activities.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and verifications, particularly lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
- Knowledge of structural design principles, applicable engineering standards, and offshore project requirements.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
