Senior Director, Consumables, Health & Wellness Global Sourcing Enablement

About CHW Sourcing

Looking to join a team shaping the future of Global Sourcing? This is your opportunity.
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven leader to accelerate transformation and unlock enterprise value across Consumables, Health & Wellness (CHW) Sourcing for WM Inc.
As Senior Director, CHW Sourcing Enablement, you will lead three critical functions: Strategy & Transformation, Value Execution, and Supply & Network Enablement. Together, these teams will translate sourcing strategy into actionable priorities, strengthen our global supplier network, and deliver measurable value from opportunity identification through execution.
This highly visible role requires a leader who can connect strategy to action, challenge traditional ways of working, and drive meaningful business outcomes. You will partner across Sourcing, Merchandising, Product Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and International markets to accelerate growth, strengthen resiliency, and maximize the power of our enterprise scale.

What You'll Do

Provide enterprise leadership across the three accelerants, aligning strategy, investment, talent, and operating models to drive transformation, measurable value, and sustainable growth. Build and scale the capabilities that enable CHW Sourcing to anticipate opportunities, accelerate execution, strengthen global supplier networks, and deliver long-term competitive advantage.   Lead CHW Sourcing Strategy & Transformation
  • Lead the activation, ongoing refresh, and integrated portfolio of CHW’s multi-year Sourcing strategy, aligning priorities to enterprise objectives, customer value, growth, resilience, and competitive advantage.
  • Own the strategic portfolio and transformation agenda: establish clear priorities, value cases, governance, milestones, decision rights, ownership, and visibility to outcome realization across CHW’s highest-priority initiatives.
  • Incubate, lead, and scale repeatable cross-functional value programs—including Sourcing Waves—that translate strategic opportunities into actionable roadmaps, investment recommendations, and measurable outcomes across global sourcing, supplier ecosystems, commodities, cost to serve, packaging, quality, direct import, and network design.
  • Shape decision-ready recommendations for senior leaders by synthesizing internal performance data with customer, category, supplier, commodity, and external-market signals; clearly articulate the decision, value at stake, trade-offs, and recommended path forward.
  • Partner across functions, departments, and markets to remove barriers, accelerate critical decisions, and drive disciplined execution through implementation and value realization—while enabling business owners to retain accountability for commercial delivery.
  • Advise senior leaders on sourcing, supplier, network, and investment decisions by leveraging market intelligence, supplier insights, business performance, and customer needs.

Accelerate Value Execution
  • Own the enterprise value pipeline, identifying, prioritizing, and tracking opportunities that improve cost, profitability, productivity, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to unlock incremental value through cross-market sourcing, supplier leverage, commodity strategies, competitive intelligence, and cost benchmarking.
  • Build and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team with strengths across strategy, analytics, data, RFX/bid execution, network optimization, technology, transformation, and business translation.
  • Redefine human and AI work allowing technology to handle more data aggregation and routine analysis while associates focus on strategy, supplier relationships, negotiation, innovation, and judgment.
  • Establish disciplined value tracking, performance management, and accountability to ensure opportunities translate into realized financial results.
  • Partner with sourcing and merchandising leaders to prioritize high-impact initiatives and accelerate value delivery.

Transform Supply & Network Enablement
  • Build and scale advanced network models that evaluate optimal combination of origins, suppliers, capacity and capability, transportation, lead times, inventory, direct-import flows, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Advance a resilient, diversified, and competitive global supplier network through supplier development, capability building, and strategic network optimization.
  • Lead initiatives across supplier readiness, onboarding, geographic diversification, direct imports, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Unlock enterprise scale through cross-market supplier leverage, assortment sharing, and strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Translate supplier and network strategies into executable plans that improve cost, speed, capacity, and supply continuity.

Lead Transformation, Talent & Execution

  • Build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across Strategy & PMO, Value Enablement, and Supply & Network Enablement.
  • Establish clear ways of working, decision rights, and accountability that connect strategy, functional teams, and execution.
  • Influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners to align priorities, challenge the status quo, and accelerate transformation.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and measurable results.

You'll Sweep Us Off Our Feet If

  • You are a strategic thinker who can simplify complexity, connect opportunities, and clearly translate and communicate vision into execution.
  • You bring strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven ability to identify, quantify, and deliver enterprise value.
  • You understand global sourcing, supplier ecosystems, network optimization, and the drivers of cost, quality, capacity, and risk.
  • You thrive in transformation, challenge existing ways of working, and drive change with speed and discipline.
  • You are an influential, collaborative leader who builds alignment across senior stakeholders, functions, and global markets.
  • You balance bold transformation with disciplined execution and know how ot move from concept to scalable capability and sustained adoption.
