What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of application software for the Telos robotic system. In this role, you will design, implement, test, and maintain physician-facing software, including high-performance visualization and user-interface components. You will collaborate with software, systems, clinical, and UX partners to translate user and product requirements into safe, reliable, and intuitive software. The successful candidate is curious, adaptable, and committed to sharing knowledge and continuously improving engineering practices
- Contribute to development of high-performance, high-performance, interactive visualization applications for medical use.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across software, clinical, systems, and UX to deliver effective product solutions
- Develop and maintain robust testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and automated tests, to ensure software quality and reliability
- Translate user needs, clinical requirements, and customer feedback into software design and development priorities.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for software architecture, coding standards, and development processes to support team alignment and consistency
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field and minimum 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
- Experience with C++ programming
- Experience in desktop UI development (e.g. Qt/QML, PyQt, Open GL)
- Experience with other programming languages such as Python
- Excellent communication and documentation skills

Salary Range: $135,000 – 142,000 annually

The posted salary range reflects compensation for employees based in the local Bay Area market. For candidates hired outside of this geographic area, compensation may vary and be adjusted based on location, local market conditions, and other factors
