• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of a Certified Law Enforcement Academy 
• Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri P.O.S.T. Certificate as a condition of employment
    *Candidates with certifications from other states will be allowed 30 days to receive P.O.S.T. Certification in the state of Missouri after the offer of employment is made

• Two (2) years of experience in a similar or larger sized agency 

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of employment. 
• Vision must be correctable to 20/40 and pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
• Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings, a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and medical/physical examinations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:    The starting hourly wage is $23.76 per hour and will increase to $24.71 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. 
                                                         Experienced lateral hires can earn between $53,000.00 - $59,000.00 annually depending on qualifications and experience.

WORK LOCATION:    In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.

The role requires a commitment to upholding departmental standards while ensuring public safety and fostering community trust.  
This position requires flexibility, as it may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the Department's 24/7/365 operations.
