Job Summary
Emerald Transformer is seeking a Business Analyst to transform operational, financial, sales, and inventory data into practical insights that support informed business decisions. Working in coordination with the Senior Business Analyst and leaders across corporate and facility operations, this position supports the planning, implementation, execution, tracking, and analysis of key business initiatives. The Business Analyst develops forecasts and budgets, evaluates performance indicators, identifies cost-saving and revenue opportunities, and presents clear recommendations to decision-makers. This position is well suited for an analytical professional who can move comfortably between detailed data analysis and concise, business-focused communication.

- Support business projects focused on cost savings, revenue opportunities, and operational improvement.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts, translating results into actionable insights for strategic and operational planning.
- Partner with corporate and facility leadership to identify internal and external cost-saving opportunities.
- Assess key performance indicators and other operational measures to help leaders identify improvement opportunities and priority areas.
- Analyze inventory and operating data to help determine appropriate stock levels and maintenance needs that support customer requirements.
- Compile, prepare, analyze, and present operational, financial, inventory, and sales information to improve the timeliness and accuracy of planning and decision-making.
- Extract data from ERP systems and other business applications, organize the information into useful formats, and apply findings to strategy development and business decisions.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and performance drivers and recommend practical actions that support revenue optimization.
- Pull and interpret reports from CRM platforms, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, to support sales and business analysis.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on operational topics to small groups regularly and to larger audiences as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, supply chain, or a related field required.
Experience
- At least 1+ year of relevant experience in business analysis, financial analysis, operations analysis, or a related discipline required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms, to create dashboards and communicate financial or operational insights.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, and complex formulas.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
- Ability to navigate ERP systems, extract relevant data, and transform information into decision-ready analysis.
- Ability to analyze CRM and sales information and identify meaningful trends, performance drivers, and business opportunities.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, key performance indicators, and operational performance analysis.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and develop realistic action plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain numeric information and present findings effectively to varied audiences.
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to small and large groups.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with corporate and facility leaders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive business information.
- Ability to remain open to different ideas, incorporate feedback, and adapt to changes in the work environment.
