(Senior) Manager Performance and Restructuring  

You have seen your share of restructurings, transactions or turnarounds or you have the right skill set and drive to operate in such an environment. Now you want to do more than analyse the problem: you want to design and deliver the solution. At PwC Deals, you will have a leading role in shaping decisions and driving results for our clients when it really matters.  

The Performance and Restructuring team works with Dutch and European companies and their stakeholders, from family-owned businesses to listed multinationals, when the stakes are highest. Our client need to improve profitability, strengthen the balance sheet or both, while not having the time for a multi-year transformation track. We do not stop at diagnosis. We design, negotiate and implement the solutions that put companies back on a sustainable footing. 

• Capital structure solutions: debt restructurings, new money raises, negotiated with lenders, investors and other stakeholders; 

• Performance solutions: cost reduction programmes and revenue improvement initiatives that deliver measurable, lasting performance gains to support the foundation for the (new) capital structure; 

• Accelerated M&A and insolvency: when a turnaround is not the answer, we run fast-paced sale processes and even guide companies through insolvency to protect value if needed. 

This is what you’ll do 

As (Senior) Manager you drive engagements from first meeting to final implementation. You are the day-to-day lead for both clients and key stakeholders (e.g. lenders, shareholders or PE), and you work directly alongside our partners on the decisions that matter most.

You will: 

• Manage various internal and external stakeholders, in a high-pace environment; 

• Lead restructuring, refinancing and performance improvement engagements and own the quality of what we deliver; 

• Build the business plans, cash flow forecasts and financial models that underpin restructuring and investment decisions; 

• Negotiate with lenders, shareholders and new money providers to land workable capital structure solutions; 

• Design and drive cost and revenue initiatives through to measurable results; 

• Lead and develop diverse teams and help win new work or identify other value add opportunities to existing clients with our partners.

You recognize yourself in this 

You are a sharp professional who is not afraid of numbers and who thrives under pressure and wants to see the results of your work. You build relationships quickly, hold your ground in difficult negotiations and bring clarity when stakeholders disagree. 

You also have: 

• At least five years’ experience in financial restructuring, performance improvement, investment banking, corporate finance, corporate lending, leveraged finance or strategy consulting; 

• Excellent analytical skills, and a learning mindset with regards to AI tools to work faster and smarter; 

• The ability to turn complex analysis into clear, persuasive reports and board-level presentations; 

• The ability to connect with people and build trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members; and 

• Excellent Dutch and English language skills.
