Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Information Technology procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and related financial-control activities. Independently manage complex purchases of hardware, software, services, and contractor resources; provide analytical guidance and day-to-day functional direction to stakeholders and procurement support resources; and serve as the primary liaison among IT, Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, vendors, and internal customers. Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, contract and renewal governance, process standardization, asset lifecycle support, and accurate, timely invoice processing while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procurement standards, contractual obligations, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end IT procurement and strategic sourcing activities for hardware, software, cloud services, professional services, and contractor resources, including RFPs, vendor evaluations, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and award recommendations in partnership with IT, Legal, Finance, and business owners.
  • Develop and execute category, supplier, and sourcing strategies that align with organizational technology and financial objectives.
  • Lead vendor governance and technology contract administration activities, including performance reviews, service-level monitoring, review of commercial terms, contract compliance, renewal strategies, issue escalation, risk identification, and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Develop total cost of ownership analyses, pricing benchmarks, spend forecasts, and business cases to support sourcing and investment decisions.
  • Identify, quantify, and track sourcing savings, cost-avoidance opportunities, and vendor-spend optimization initiatives; report results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional procurement initiatives and complex sourcing workstreams; establish priorities, coordinate deliverables, influence stakeholder decisions, and provide functional guidance to procurement support resources and business partners.
  • Lead process-improvement initiatives that standardize procedures, strengthen controls, reduce cycle time, improve data quality, and increase customer service effectiveness.
  • Design and maintain procurement, vendor, asset, savings, and financial reporting; identify trends and present actionable recommendations to management.
  • Oversee purchase orders, receiving, invoice reconciliation, accrual support, capitalization inputs, and payment exceptions to strengthen financial accuracy and controls.
  • Provide oversight of IT asset inventory and lifecycle activities, including hardware refreshes, software licensing, and inventory audits.
  • Own procurement intake and workflow management through ServiceNow, monitor service levels, resolve escalations, and communicate status to customers and leadership.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for IT procurement policies, sourcing practices, contracts, financial controls, and audit readiness.
  • Provide backup coverage for critical procurement and financial processes and perform other lead-level projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex sourcing initiatives and supplier engagements.
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement processes, purchase order management, invoice processing, contract administration, vendor governance, financial controls, audit requirements, risk management, and compliance practices.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP, procurement, and workflow platforms such as D365, Chrome River, SAP, and ServiceNow, along with advanced data-analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to review commercial and contractual terms, negotiate technology licensing and services, and develop Total Cost of Ownership analyses and business recommendations.
  • Understanding of IT hardware, software, cloud services, licensing, contractor services, and asset lifecycle management principles.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage stakeholder relationships, set priorities, guide others, resolve escalations, and drive work to completion without direct supervisory authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
