We’re looking for a real leader, not just a manager

This role is about the person. We, a well-established heavy manufacturing business, needs a Senior Engineering Manager who leads from the front: someone who’s out on the shop floor, rolls their sleeves up and earns respect by being visible, approachable and decisive.

You’ll join a great senior leadership team who are close-knit, ambitious and backing each other to take the business forward. There’s so much potential here, and the right person will play a huge part in unlocking it.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead the site’s engineering function through a team of managers and a large multi-disciplined engineering and maintenance team. You’ll own:

• Asset reliability, and moving the site to a planned and preventative maintenance culture
• Capex projects that shape the site’s future
• Root-cause problem solving that stops issues coming back
• Health and safety leadership, plus performance against safety, reliability, quality and cost

 

What you’ll bring

• Significant engineering leadership experience in heavy manufacturing, process or industrial environments
• A track record of improving reliability and delivering capital projects
• Experience leading change and building high-performing teams
