Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in both CAD design and field inspection activities, with responsibilities evenly divided between office-based drafting and site-based project support. Working alongside experienced professionals, the selected candidate will contribute to a variety of infrastructure and land development projects while developing technical, design, and construction observation skills.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings, plans, and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with civil design projects, including site development, grading, utilities, and related infrastructure improvements.
- Conduct field inspections and site visits to verify construction activities comply with project plans and specifications.
- Document field observations, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to project teams.
- Support project engineers with design calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to support project delivery.
- Maintain accurate project records and adhere to company quality and safety standards.
What you'll need:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 3 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to civil engineering design or construction inspection.
- Familiarity with land development, transportation, utility, or infrastructure projects.
