About the role
This is a fixed term role as a Full Stack Developer. It is a senior technical resource within JLL's Project & Development Services Digital team, serving two key functions. First, you'll provide hands-on technical leadership for full stack application development, making architectural decisions across CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Power Pages portals, Azure API Management, and Microsoft Entra ID. Second, you'll act as JLL's internal technical quality gate, providing oversight, peer review, and mentorship for work performed by third-party contractors and internal resources. This role initially focuses on the Client Application and API Integration Project — delivering API-led digital integration between JLL and a government client organisation.
You must be an Australian Citizen and hold or be eligible for the Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
This role can be based in Melbourne or Canberra.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver frontend and backend solutions across Azure cloud infrastructure, Power Platform, API integration, security accreditation, and data engineering for the Client Application and API Integration Project
Act as the primary JLL PDS technical quality gate for all full stack application development
Review and approve code, architecture decisions, and technical designs produced by third-party contractors
Review and build Python and .NET Function App implementations covering file ingestion, malware scan handling, disaggregation, aggregation, validation engine logic, and transformation pipelines
Define and maintain JLL PDS's full stack development standards covering coding conventions, branching and CI/CD strategies, security controls, API design, environment management, and documentation requirements
Identify technical risks, design deficiencies, and security gaps in contractor-produced code
Provide structured peer review of code and applications developed by internal resources using AI IDE-assisted development approaches
Provide mentorship to internal developers and run regular technical learning sessions covering software engineering fundamentals
Review and build all write/read API integrations for Project Data and Workflow Data against the Client Integration Bus specification
Develop Power Pages portal implementations including file upload, download, validation report, Program Manager admin, and workflow status components
Review and configure Bicep/Terraform templates, private endpoint configurations, Managed Identity assignments, RBAC role definitions, Key Vault secret management, and Azure Monitor alert configurations
Configure Dataverse entity structures, row-level security models, and Business Unit hierarchy configurations
Build a culture of rigorous, AI-assisted development within the team
Skills required for this role :
5+ years of full stack development experience across enterprise or government-grade applications
2+ years working within Azure cloud environments, with demonstrable DevOps and CI/CD engineering experience
Track record of mentoring or technically leading developers at varied experience levels, including practitioners who leverage AI IDEs as a primary development aid.
Experience on programs with third-party contractor or subcontractor delivery models is essential
Experience on Australian government projects, or working within security-cleared environments, is highly desirable
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent; or demonstrable equivalent professional experience
Australian citizenship is mandatory as this role requires access to Australian Government information and systems that cannot be granted to non-citizens
Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
