Job Requirements
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented Compensation Lead to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and evaluation of compensation programs that support the organization's talent strategy and business objectives. The successful candidate will ensure compensation practices are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with market trends.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Program Administration
- Develop, implement, and manage compensation programs, policies, and procedures that support organizational goals.
- Evaluate and recommend salary structures, pay ranges, incentive programs, and compensation-related initiatives.
- Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to ensure compensation programs remain competitive and effective.
Market Analysis & Benchmarking
- Conduct compensation surveys and analyze market data to assess external competitiveness.
- Monitor labor market trends, economic conditions, and compensation best practices.
- Provide recommendations for compensation adjustments based on market findings and organizational needs.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all compensation programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including FLSA, EEO, and pay transparency requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits as needed.
Job Evaluation & Internal Equity
- Develop and maintain job classifications, salary grades, and job descriptions.
- Conduct job evaluations and compensation analyses to ensure internal equity and consistent application of compensation practices.
- Review organizational structures and recommend appropriate job leveling.
- Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit and incentive reviews.
Recognition & Reward Programs
- Partner with HR and leadership teams to design and implement employee recognition and reward programs that promote engagement and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation accuracy and effective program administration.
- Support recruitment efforts by providing compensation guidance for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers.
Cost Management & Reporting
- Analyze compensation costs and provide recommendations to optimize spending while maintaining competitiveness.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, including compensation analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, and market pricing.
- Experience managing compensation programs in a complex global organization.
- Experience with compensation survey platforms and data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools. Workday preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
