The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Primary Design Engineer and contribute to the design and execution of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) projects for global substation applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced engineering tools, international standards, and cutting-edge GIS products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute primary design solutions for GIS and substation projects.
- Create and manage 3D engineering models and drawings using tools such as CREO/ProE and AutoCAD 3D.
- Ensure designs comply with international standards including IEC, EN, and ANSI.
- Support project execution activities and drive engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize SAP and MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) for engineering documentation, reporting, and project tracking.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and deliver customer-focused engineering solutions.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in primary design engineering.
- Hands-on experience with 3D design tools such as ProE/CREO and AutoCAD 3D.
- Strong knowledge of GIS products, substation design, and GIS project execution processes.
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, EN, ANSI) and SAP systems.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
