Description
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while ensuring high standards of presentation and customer service. The role supports smooth restaurant operations by coordinating between kitchen and service staff to enhance the guest dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all dishes are presented correctly before serving.
- Verify food items, table numbers, and special requests before delivery.
- Assist waiters and servers during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Clear dirty plates, utensils, and glasses from tables when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
- Assist in setting up tables and preparing the restaurant before service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and provide friendly customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in restaurants or hospitality is an advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and carry trays.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
