Do you have the passion to lead innovative, mission‑driven teams transforming Oregon State Hospital—and help shape safer, stronger community health outcomes for Oregonians?

The Oregon State Hospital is currently seeking a Director of Organizational Strategy and Development. The Director of Organizational Strategy and Development leads the transformation of Oregon State Hospital into a purpose-driven forensic psychiatric institution, translating executive vision into actionable initiatives that improve safety, treatment quality, workforce readiness, and compliance. The role oversees public policy development, major projects, hospital operations governance, and executive reporting while guiding teams that execute these efforts across the organization. The director evaluates the impact of priority initiatives on achieving strategic goals, directs key public policy and organization-wide changes, advises leadership on strategy and risk, and ensures hospital priorities are clearly defined, aligned, and delivered from initiation through completion.

Step into a role where your leadership can shape the future of forensic psychiatric care in Oregon. As the Director of Organizational Strategy and Development, you will guide the transformation of Oregon State Hospital into a purpose-driven institution where safe, evidence-based care and meaningful outcomes take center stage. This is your opportunity to turn visionary ideas into lasting change—strengthening patient care, empowering teams, and advancing a mission that protects both the public and those we serve. If you’re inspired by bold challenges and the chance to build something better, we’d be excited to see you lead this work.
