Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As a member of an autonomous, self-managing Scrum team, your mission will include:
- Own and deliver medium to high‑complexity features within agreed timelines, meeting GE HealthCare’s quality standards and established engineering best practices with the support of architects and technical experts to design new features, evaluate alternative designs, implement prototypes, and establish an execution plan.
- Deliver according to the Definition of Done, including:
- Test automation at multiple levels (unit, integration, end‑to‑end)
- High-quality documentation to support quality and regulatory requirements
- Maintain the existing by correcting defects and supporting users.
- Provide clear, proactive, and timely status updates to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement by proposing and implementing changes to tools and processes to make teams more efficient
Requirements
Technical attributes
Required
- Strong full-stack development experience (medior level)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Golang or C++ (deep expertise in one, comfort with the others)
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Solid background in software design
- Hands-on experience with test automation
Advantages
- Practical knowledge of WSL/Linux environments (scripting, troubleshooting)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), dockerisation, Kubernetes
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
(Preferred: Java-based frameworks, Cucumber, Playwright) - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot or similar), and leveraging them to improve productivity and code quality
- Familiarity with CI/CD/CT pipelines (preferably GitLab)
- Previous experience working on Healthcare software projects
- Experience in project/team management (e.g scrum master)
