Position Summary...
As the Senior Director – Technology Operations for Sam’s Club’s India Development Center (IDC) in Bangalore, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a multi-domain technology organization that enables Sam’s Club’s in-club operations, omnichannel experiences, merchandising, and e-commerce capabilities.In this role, you will translate business and technology strategy into scalable solutions and high-impact programs, while driving operational excellence, financial accountability, risk management, and execution discipline across a complex portfolio of initiatives. You will partner closely with U.S.-based product, business, technology, and operations leaders to shape strategic priorities, optimize investments and resources, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will play a critical role in strengthening technology execution, enabling innovation, and building a high-performing organization that delivers reliable, scalable, and differentiated technology capabilities for Sam’s Club.

What You’ll Do
- Shape and execute technology strategy across Retail, In-Club Operations, Omnichannel, Merchandising, and E-commerce domains, ensuring alignment with Sam’s Club’s strategic and business priorities.
- Lead complex, enterprise-scale technology programs spanning multiple products, platforms, teams, and stakeholders, establishing clear objectives, execution strategies, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Develop and manage program portfolios, balancing strategic priorities, business value, technology investments, dependencies, and organizational capacity.
- Own program financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, investment planning, and financial performance across major initiatives.
- Establish strong governance and operating mechanisms to track program health, delivery performance, financial outcomes, risks, dependencies, and critical milestones.
- Anticipate and manage risks through proactive assessment, scenario planning, mitigation strategies, and timely escalation of issues that could impact business outcomes.
- Partner with senior U.S. stakeholders across product, business, technology, merchandising, and operations to influence priorities, resolve complex challenges, and build alignment on strategic decisions.
- Use data and business insights to drive decisions, communicate progress, and demonstrate the value and impact of technology investments.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement by strengthening processes, simplifying execution, adopting industry best practices, and leveraging emerging technology trends.
- Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to apply cloud, data, AI, automation, and other emerging technologies to improve member experience, business performance, and operational efficiency.
- Build a culture of accountability and high performance, empowering leaders and teams to deliver with speed, quality, integrity, and customer focus.

- Strategic technology leadership: Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes across large and complex organizations.
- Enterprise program leadership: Extensive experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology programs and portfolios, including defining objectives, governance models, stage gates, critical paths, and delivery mechanisms.
- Financial acumen: Proven experience managing significant technology budgets, resource allocation, investment decisions, forecasting, and financial performance across multiple programs.
