Senior Graphic Designer (2-year term)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team to manage the creative and graphic design of our online and offline advertising elements and marketing collateral. In addition to a successful professional track record, the individual must be detail-oriented, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The person will deliver from concept to design to implementation across the resort.

Responsibilities

• Provide management of design solutions (new, existing and those in need of renovation/innovation) which support sales and marketing needs with consideration of costs, limitations and electronic media options.
• Manage workflow and project process within the various business segments, establish project priorities, assess timelines/resources and maintain ongoing communication.
• Coordinate content, photography, trademark, pre-print layout requirements and maintain library of assets.
• Implement graphics standards and ensure consistency and adherence to guidelines working with internal and external resources.
• Provide special project design development for national meetings, new programs being launched and marketing campaigns, presentation support, etc.
• Interact with e-marketing to provide support tools for online needs (banner ads, flash animation, images, data source).
• Work within defined departmental processes during the creative process; provide suggestions for improvement, where appropriate.
• To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary accreditation in Graphic Design.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in graphic design.
• Highly proficient with Adobe CS Suite including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Solid understanding of typography, color and layout as well as print production.
• Copywriting experience is considered an asset.

• Superior communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation - must be comfortable communicating to various levels of the organization.

• Have enthusiasm and deliver on expectations while juggling multiple projects.

This position is to report to work five (5) day per week and if required, may be instructed to work additional time due to any special events that may be occurring at River Cree Resort & Casino.
