Associate Development Operations Engineer

We are looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our team in Belgrade. In this role, you will help support the cloud infrastructure behind Clarivate’s trusted products within the Academia & Government segment, while developing your AWS and infrastructure skills, learning from experienced colleagues, and contributing to meaningful projects.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 0+ years of experience with AWS services in a production or support environment, Linux administration and networking, and Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tool.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English.

It would be great if you also have...

• Working knowledge of Git and comfort working from the command line or terminal.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications.
• Experience with Python or shell scripting.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support scalable and highly available applications. 
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated provisioning and configuration.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to streamline software delivery processes.
• Maintain scripts in Python to automate operational tasks and enhance system functionality.
• Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS for orchestration.
• Utilize Git for version control, ensuring efficient collaboration and code management across teams.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure up-time and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices and improve deployment workflows.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovative tools and strategies to enhance our DevOps practices.

Content-based solutions such as Web of Science rely on the DevOps team’s cloud infrastructure and operational support to remain reliable and accessible to users worldwide.

About the Team

You will join a DevOps team working across India and the United States. The team partners closely with a large community of developers, providing the infrastructure support needed to deliver Clarivate’s content products and projects. You will report directly to Senior Manager, Development Operations Engineering.

Hours of Work 

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone (9–17h).

This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.

The role includes participation in a low-volume, daylight-hours on-call rotation.
