About the Team
You’ll join a team where people work with integrity, inclusion, innovation, agility, collaboration and commitment. In practice, that means sharing ownership, solving complex problems together and staying connected to the customer context, the purpose behind the work and how each role contributes to meaningful outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that support the security, reliability and modernisation of enterprise technology environments. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in implementing and supporting infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
Build, configure, test and deploy infrastructure solutions across Windows, Unix, Linux, virtualised and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with project requirements and operational standards.
Support major technology initiatives including infrastructure migrations, upgrades, cloud adoption, technology refresh programs and platform modernisation projects.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, vendors and operational teams to deliver secure, resilient and supportable solutions from implementation through to production handover.
Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, infrastructure standardisation and operational best practices that enhance efficiency, reduce risk and improve service reliability.
About You
We're looking for an infrastructure professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, delivering quality outcomes and working collaboratively across project and operational teams. You bring a practical approach to systems administration, a focus on security and reliability, and the ability to support infrastructure change in complex enterprise environments.
Essential:
Experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role supporting enterprise environments.
Knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems, including server provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades and lifecycle management.
Understanding of core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, networking, storage, authentication, monitoring, backup and performance management.
Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and/or Microsoft Hyper-V, along with infrastructure troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
Knowledge of infrastructure security, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, patch management and compliance requirements.
Ability to develop technical documentation, support project delivery activities and work effectively with a range of technical and business stakeholders.
Advantageous:
Experience supporting infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other enterprise cloud platforms.
Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Shell scripting, Python, Ansible or equivalent tools.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and cloud modernisation practices.
Relevant Microsoft, Linux, VMware, cloud or infrastructure certifications.
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold an NV-1 security clearance.
If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply. We value different experiences and are interested in the capability and potential you could bring.
