Description
The Contact Center Sales Representative assists members and prospective members through phone, email, and digital channels while providing excellent customer service. This role is responsible for opening new memberships, supporting the onboarding process, and processing consumer loan and credit card applications from start to funding. The representative identifies member needs and recommends appropriate financial products and services to strengthen relationships and improve the member experience. Ideal candidates have experience in sales, customer service, banking, or lending, along with strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist members and prospective members via phone, email, and digital channels.
- Open new memberships and guide members through the onboarding process.
- Process consumer loan and credit card applications from application through funding.
- Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Provide exceptional service while resolving inquiries and maintaining accurate member records.
- Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, and lending guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of sales, customer service, banking, credit union, lending, or financial services experience preferred.
- Experience opening accounts, processing loan applications, or cross-selling financial products preferred.
- Ability to understand member needs and deliver personalized recommendations that enhance the member experience and deepen relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of consumer lending, deposit products, and digital banking services preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish and English skills preferred.
